For 9 months straight, Nick and I woke up, wrote for 4 hours... then did the rest of our work. And now... the book is finally here.

Once per quarter, Nick and I release a Content Roadmap to reveal our biggest, most tactical sales content releases that'll help get you to President's Club.

And oh man, does Q3 feel sweet. Here's what's in this Q3 roadmap email:

  • Book Release: Cold Calling Sucks (And That's Why It Works)
  • Cold Call Care Package: Talk tracks for openers, objections, and everything else
  • 5 Weeks of Phones: Loads of free cold calling stuff leading up to the launch
  • The Rest (Don't Miss It): A host change. The Q3 tactic teardown lineup.

Keep scrolling.

The book is finally here.

Cold calling is painful and uncomfortable for every single salesperson on planet Earth.

But every time you decide to pick up the phone in spite of the suck, you separate yourself from the pack just a little bit more.

Cold calling sucks and that’s exactly why it works.

While most sales books are 400-page exercises in academia that make you wonder "but... what do I say?" -- here are 4 things that'll make this the most actionable book in sales:

  1. Every part of a cold call, step-by-step (with talk tracks): You’ll know exactly what to say to open a cold call, overcome any objection, and land the meeting.
  2. Voiceovers (in QR codes) to master tone: It’s not just the words – you’ll know how it should sound with voiceovers for every single talk track.
  3. Examples for anything you could sell: We’ve interviewed 200+ elite sellers from real estate to software at the most prestigious sales organizations in the world.
  4. Backed by data from 300M+ cold calls on Gong: Gong they analyzed millions of cold calls on the #1 revenue intelligence platform to back up the advice.

It drops on Wednesday, Aug 14th at our Live Book Summary (more on that below).

Until then, you can read all of the Intro and Chapter 1 on Openers now... for free.

We have a rule at 30MPC: If you wanna plug something on... we do not allow you to plug. You must give away a sales tactic AS your plug.

So we'll eat our own dog food on this rule by giving you FIVE WEEKS OF PHONES leading up to the release of the book:

  1. (Today) Get your Cold Call Care Package: The intro and ch 1 preview, the opener and pitch talk tracks, and the 18 objection handling scripts.
  2. (Jul 17) Sign up for the preorder release event on objections: How to Handle Any Objection On a Cold Call ft. Jason Bay, Nick Cegelski, Armand Farrokh
  3. (Jul 17-Aug 14) Subscribe so you don't miss "5 Weeks Of Phones" -- 5 newsletters. 5 Gong Labs Posts. 5 Friday Cold Calling Playbook Podcasts.
  4. (Aug 14) Join us in the release and live book summary: We'll launch the book and summarize every chapter live.

Sign up for everything above and you'll be ready to book 1 in 4 cold calls.

Our "Stop Releasing Crappy Content" Strategy

The Dominos Pizza Turnaround: Tell the world your pizza sucks and fix it

In the last 18 months, Nick and I several mistakes that made 30MPC lose its luster:

  • A guest who wasted 30 minutes of your time because they couldn't get tactical.
  • A video clip that was 60 seconds of absolutely f***ing nothing.
  • A lazy, repurposed LinkedIn post.
  • A series of random, sporadic webinar emails.

Little cracks. We saw it in comments, in our downloads, and in our guts... we knew.

We broke our golden rule: More content does not equal better content.

So in the last month, we ruthlessly corrected every single mistake above:

  • We cut every B-Tier guest on the podcast (and continue to cut ~20% of recordings)
  • We fired our podcast agency and mandated a "one-good-clip-or-no-clip-at-all" rule
  • We stopped repurposing garbage and started posting good stuff again
  • We promised exactly 2 emails per week (Monday rollup, Friday tactical breakdown)

Our pizza was s**t. I'm sorry. We are fixing it.

The "Stop Releasing Crappy Content" Strategy begins with this book.

Jen's no longer hosting, back to Nick and Armand!

(COMPLETELY UNRELATED TO THE ABOVE)

We also announced on the show that Jen will no longer be a co-host on the podcast -- her business has completely taken off, so it's much easier for her to star in a tactic teardown from time-to-time instead of committing to a weekly podcast.

She was an absolutely awesome host and this had NOTHING TO DO with our content turnaround overall. We're on phenomenal terms with her (she's literally starring in a Q3 tactic teardown).

To keep things simple, Nick and I will remain co-hosts for now as your 2 favorite goons (and Mark will remain my other favorite co-host-goon on the leadership show).
